The Community Enrichment Series brings the magic of live theatre to students through engaging, curriculum-connected field trip experiences designed for schools, homeschool groups, and educational organizations. Featuring quality Theatre for Young Audiences productions, each performance is paired with educational resources that enrich classroom learning while inspiring creativity, literacy, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts. The program is designed to make the performing arts accessible, memorable, and meaningful for every student.

Saturdays at Center

Saturdays at Center is a series of free community events and workshops that bring people of all ages together to create, learn, and connect through the arts. From hands-on creative experiences and family-friendly Page to Stage literacy programs to artist talks with our gallery exhibitors and monthly gatherings of our local Ukulele Club, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Act Out! Mobile Theatre Outreach

Act Out! brings the excitement of the performing arts directly to your classroom—completely free of charge. This customizable outreach program uses storytelling, stagecraft and design, creative drama, and collaborative problem-solving to engage students through hands-on arts experiences that support creativity, communication, and critical thinking.

Complete the Act Out! Interest Form, and a member of our education team will contact you to learn about your classroom goals and customize a program that best meets the needs of your students.

“Stepping into the Spotlight”

(Acting Basics 2)

Ages 18+

Ready to take your acting skills to the next level? Intermediate Acting is designed for students who have some stage experience and want to deepen their craft. This class builds on foundational skills and challenges performers to explore more complex techniques in character development, scene work, and stage presence. Students will:

  • Dive into advanced character development, exploring motivations, relationships, and emotions
  • Refine voice, diction, and movement for stronger, more expressive performances
  • Improve scene study, improvisation, and audition techniques

**Prerequisite: Completion of Beginning Acting or equivalent experience.**

“Get the Shot”

(Photography Basics)

Ages 18+

Cost: $220

In our Adult Photography class, we will be learning how to develop a creative eye and appreciation for the art of photography. Students will learn about composition and light to make images with emotion and unique perspective. Students are not required to have a specific type of equipment. Anything from a cell phone camera to a point and shoot, or a DSLR are acceptable.

Center Stage Academy Closure Policy

The Center for the Arts is closed on all National Holidays.  Weather related closures are based on Rutherford County and Murfreesboro City Schools.  If either school system is closed due to inclement weather, all educational programming is cancelled.  For individual lessons please contact your teacher directly.
